VICAM RECEIVES TWO INTERNATIONAL AWARDS FOR MARKETING EFFORTS
Company brochure and educational poster recognized at International Poultry Exposition

WATERTOWN, MA (April 20, 2001) - VICAM, a world leader in agricultural biotechnology and bioseparations, received two awards for its marketing efforts as part of the Crystal Egg Award competition. VICAM’s award-winning marketing department entered the competition in conjunction with the company’s participation in the 2001 International Poultry Exposition, held in Atlanta, GA. According to the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, awards are bestowed "in recognition of excellence in design and production of marketing materials for the International Poultry Exposition." Only four other companies received awards from the International Poultry Exposition out of 1,100 exhibitors that attended this trade show.
The Contest
The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association held the
Crystal Egg Award competition for the first time at the 2001 International
Poultry Exposition. The International Poultry Exposition is the world’s
largest showcase of products, services and technology from around the
globe for the poultry and egg industries. Attendance at this year’s
show numbered 22,300 attendees. Additional winners in the Crystal Egg
Award competition included Gessulli Agribusiness of Brazil, Dex Iberica
of Spain, and Intralox and Robbie Manufacturing, both of the United
States.
Awards in Two Categories
VICAM received awards in each of the two categories
that were entered for this competition. VICAM’s newly designed
corporate brochure won an Honorable Mention distinction in the brochure
category. The brochure highlighted VICAM’s evolution from a two-product
line company into a five-product line company and introduced the company’s
new tagline,
"Cultivating Success through Science." VICAM also received
an Honorable Mention distinction in the poster category for its educational
mycotoxin poster. This visual aid depicting the effects of mycotoxins
is already in use by numerous research institutes and universities
around the world and is available in multiple languages.
Winning entries were chosen in consideration of several factors including design, communications content, achievement of predetermined sales goals, and overall appearance.
