VICAM MARKETING DEPARTMENT WINS PUBLICATION EXCELLENCE AWARD
Web site commended for communications effectiveness
WATERTOWN, MA (July 10, 2002) –– VICAM, a world leader in agricultural biotechnology and bioseparations, received an APEX 2002 Award for Publication Excellence for web site design.
The Contest
APEX 2002 represents the 14th annual awards program recognizing excellence
in publications work for professional communicators. The competition
was sponsored by Communications Concepts, publishers of Writing That
Works: The Business Communications Report. Honors were awarded based
on three criteria: excellence in graphic design, editorial content,
and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness
and excellence.
VICAM’s Entry
VICAM’s winning web site was launched in 2001 as a newly re-designed
site at www.vicam.com. The contest received a total of 5,863 entries;
of these, 611 were in the “Web & Intranet Site Design”
category. Fewer than 3% of entrants received “Web & Intranet
Site Design” honors.
