Aflatoxin M1, a toxin found in milk, is derived from ingested aflatoxin. A known carcinogen, the detection of M1 is critical because this aflatoxin is found in milk, a major source of nutrition for infants, children, and adults. Throughout the world, there are significant regulations on the presence of M1 in dairy products. VICAM’s Afla M1™ HPLC is a fast flow column that delivers recovery rates from 75% to 95% depending on the sample.

Using monoclonal antibody-based affinity chromatography, Afla M1 HPLC is an HPLC-only test for the detection of aflatoxin M1 using immunoaffinity columns. Performed in less than 30 minutes, Afla M1 HPLC can measure levels of Afla M1 as low as 10 ppt and as high as 3 ppb.
